| I made a short foray into the Needle Mountains this summer. I did not feel good so I turned back. I made it up Vestal Creek and to the base of Vestal Peak. I'd been up Chicago Basin several years ago and scoped out a traverse over to Vestal Peak. I got to see it from the other side this year, but I did not make it. Next year. What else for next year? Single day ridgeline traverses--the Mosquito Range, the Never Summer Range, Mount Massive to Mount Elbert, and Highland Ridge. I'm sure I'll be treking around Rocky Mountain National Park. And I've got some ideas for the Sangre de Christos. |
